KING GEORGE VI PARK,
Ramsgate
Friday 20th June, 2008
Members of group included Jen, Alex, Michelle, Denise, Bex, Chas and Brian.
We met up outside the Ramsgate entrance to the Park at 7.30pm. The weather had turned to drizzly rain, but all decided to carry on with the walk, which proved to be the right decision as only 10 minutes into the walk the rain had stopped.
Because we did not know how long the walk would continue because of the weather, a circle of protection was not carried out.
At 7.45pm Brian led us all to what he believed had been the mansion of Sir Moses Montefiore, built in 1831 and sadly demolished in the 1950's.

Brian made no mention of what he believed the site to have been.
Alex sensed that a building had been there and Michelle sensed a group of what she thought were nuns and a very large, ornate fireplace, along with lots of fine art.
Many names were picked up by the group including Frederick or Roderick, Denver, Juliette, Catherine, Julie or Juliette,
Rosanna or Rosa. The latter being believed by Chas to be a maid. He also felt we were being watched, looked down at.
Michelle thought that the area could have once been farmland and saw a Jewish procession.
From here Brian led us to the area of the old stables
Michelle felt a sudden passing of a male spirit, storage buildings, sheds and machinery. Her own father, on spirit side, advised her to be careful. She again picked up on a procession.
Bex received the sensation that someone had been hung nearby.
Brian picked up on what he believed to be the spirit of a young female that had been attacked in the early 1900's. She was about 18-19 years of age.
Independently of each other, Brian asked both Denise and Chas what they sensed in a particular area and they each stated that they had a churning feeling in their stomach and the sensation of being petrified.
Denise could see her running away in a white dress. Brian thought she had been on her way to a party but had never arrived there.
Brian, Denise and Chas all identified what they thought had been the scene of her death in a ditch. Brian suggested that she had not been killed directly by her assailent because he had been disturbed and ran away. She had passed due to the injuries she had received.
Denise could then sense a soldier in Napoleonic dress and Brian confirmed that a garrison had been stationed not far away.
Chas received the name of Rosa again and gave this identity to the young girl.
Michelle said that at some time sheep and cattle would have grazed here.
Coach House
Chas suggested that this area used to be completely enclosed and was drawn to one corner of the area.
Jen could sense a presence in a wooded area nearby. On inspection of this area, both Brian and Jen found it hard to breathe.
Chas felt something brush against his hand and on looking down sensed that he had blood on his hands.
As we moved on past a wooded area Brian felt his throat tighten and Jen did not want to go past the area and felt very uneasy.
Both believed there to have been someone hung from a particular tree.
On walking past the house with the plaque commemorating Sir Moses Montefiore, Michelle picked up on a Wolfhound that had been a pet there.
9pm The Montefiore Synagogue and Mausoleum

We took a break here before starting our investigation of this area. During this time Brian and Chas had a look around and had found a small building behind the Synagogue. On looking through a window they saw a door, but on investigation of the other side of the building, could see not door, only a wall. On returning to the group Brian said his guide had advised him not to proceed further and Chas was most disturbed at seeing the spirit of what he believed to be a Rabbi telling him the same and making the sign of the cross.
The rest of the group made their way to this area and looking down onto a fenced area, Denise felt sure that this had been used as a cemetery at some time.
Michelle sensed the Rabbi to be Rabbi David, and both she and Chas could see him standing against a wall next to this fenced area.
At this stage Bex felt as if someone had stroked the top of her arm downwards.
Michelle said that the Rabbi was staying here to look after something or someone, to watch over, possibly the land. He had passed about 50 years ago, and was of the very old school, traditional faith. He was saying that this land is sacred.
He also said that he helped to train young boys of 13 in the faith. She believed the people that went into
the synagogue were aware of him.
Jen then began to see him. He was wearing a black cloak with something on his head, standing with his hands clasped in front of him. He was wearing a silver chain around his neck.
Chas went to take a photo of him, but for some reason his camera that had a brand new film in would not wind on.
As the group were standing together, both Denise and Alex thought that someone had walked behind Alex and Brian.
Denise's face began to feel very itchy and Michelle said that the Rabbi was impressing that he had facial hair and that he used to lead the prayers by chanting.
We left this area and on making our way out through an alleyway stopped at a clearing where both Michelle and Brian felt as if they we breathless. Alex got a pain right across his abdomen and Chas's head began to hurt at the back. Denise felt a chill go right through her. Chas felt that someone had been bludgeoned here on the back of his head.
On walking back to the park through Winterstoke Crescent Jen thought she could smell rotting flesh.
We arrived back at the park entrance at 10pm, but due to groups of youths making nuisances of themselves in the park decided to call it a night and end what had proved to be a very eventful investigation.
